Born on August 9, 1969 in Fontana, California, Troy Percival (Troy Eugene Percival) played for the California Angels, Anaheim Angels and Detroit Tigers over the course of his 11 year career. Percival broke into the bigs on April 26, 1995 with the California Angels, and put up a 1.95 ERA in 74 innings pitched in 1995, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Troy Percival's best season was 2002, when he posted a 1.92 ERA, notched 40 saves and struck out 68 batters.
