Played in 17 regular season games and the Scotiabank West Semifinal...played his first regular season CFL game on July 7th vs Winnipeg...recorded one of his best games in Hamilton on September 17th picking up one defensive tackle, one special team tackle and one quarterback sack...early in the game Young made a devastating hit on Hamilton’s receiver D.J. Flick on a 30 yard pass attempt to set the tone of the game. College Attended University of Montana from 1998-2002 (redshirted in 1998)...played in 45 games starting 35...recorded 250 tackles (140 solo), 22 sacks, five forced fumbles, six fumble recoveries, 18 knockdowns and four interceptions...was team's Outstanding Player of the Year in Freshman, Sophmore and Junior seasons...named All-Big Sky Conference Selection in 2000, 2001, 2002...in 2002 he was named Big Sky Conference Defensive MVP, defensive team captain and finalist for the "Buck Buchanan Award"(presented annually to the best defensive player in 1AA)...Associated Press 1st team All-American and American Football Coaches Association 1st team All-American Selections...1st team All American Big Sky player of the Week (Sept. 2 & Oct. 4)...led the conference in fumble recoveries (3) and forced fumbles (3)...in 2001 he was named "Junior of the Year" on defence for Montana (2001 I-AA National Champs).
