Born on May 21, 1976 in Harrisonburg, Virginia, Travis Harper (Travis Boyd Harper) played for the Tampa Bay Devil Rays for his entire 7 year career. Harper broke into the bigs on August 4, 2000 with the Tampa Bay Devil Rays, and put up a 5.46 ERA in 85.2 innings pitched in 2002, his rookie year.
Most people believe that Travis Harper's best season was 2004, when he posted a 3.89 ERA and struck out 59 batters.
