The New England Patriots and the Indianapolis Colts have been the top 2 teams in the NFL for the past couple of years. Tom Brady and Peyton Manning have grown into major rivals, since Brady first set his mark as an NFL QB against the Colts after Drew Bledsoe went down. Peyton and Brady have clashed ever since while Peyton won MVPs and his Colts always emerging with the best record in the league Brady and the Pats always have got the last laugh winning in the postseason usually taking down Peyton on the way there. The Colts have been long criticized for blowing teams away in the regular season but not getting it done in the playoffs and especially against the Pats while the Pats consistantly won though they werent always pretty they always managed to get the Ws when they count.
Suddenly Peyton figures out a way to beat the Pats, and thats by being them. Suddenly the 3 TD a game Peyton became time managing Peyton and suddenly they are winning close games by Vinatieri's foot and finally the Colts not only beat the Pats in the regualr season in a close game they go on to win a close playoff game and the Super Bowl. Now suddenly Peyton is the reigning Super Bowl MVP and what does Brady do....he gets Peyton Manning-ish on us. Peyton has always had an offensive arsenal and now Brady has one of his own. Now Brady is looking like 2004 Peyton leading the league in almost every category and has Don Shula and the '72 Dolphins biting their nails. But we all know that this method didnt work for Peyton but will it for Brady? He can give all the 38 specials he wants to teams but whats going to happen in January? Only time will tell......
