Everyone knows about the Division III trackster who was banned from competing from the Nationals because his coach had filled out the form incorrectly. Another example of the NCAA bean counters being self-absorbed than sportsmen.
Last night at dinner I heard of a story about a high school phenom (woman) getting an athletic scholarship to an unnamed southern school. Apparently this didn't sit well with the incumbent locals, and a small stash of drugs mysteriously appeared in her locker, resulting in her expulsion. Despite her protests, she lost the appeal, and the status quo of damned Yankees remained.
