He'll have help, because Don Mattingly will come along. He'll make things easier for Torre, because Mattingly worked with Torre in New York.
Torre wants to win, he'll do his best. He has knowledge, and it'll help the Dodgers.
Winning experience isn't an issue, because Torre has won World Series championships before.
"It's more important to build a foundation," Torre said. "We're going to work hard, folks. I think we're going to make everybody proud of the product we put on the field."
The Dodgers have talent, and their in the National League. Torre's job will be easier, because the N.L. isn't as hard as the A.L.
Torre's confident in the Dodgers, and he believes he'll bring success. It should work, because Torre knows how to manage talent.
"The last two weeks have been a whirlwind," Torre said. "You say goodbye to one prestigious organization and you say hello to another. This is surreal for me. It's been an emotional roller-coaster for my family over the last couple of weeks with everything that's gone on."
Everyone is happy for Torre, because many believe he deserves it. He has the support of his family, and others.
Being able to manage the Dodgers is an conscientiousness for Torre, because he's regard rite. Torre wants to succeed with the Dodgers, and they were originated in Brooklyn which is Torre's hometown.
"You look at this uniform, I remember when it was Brooklyn," Torre said. "These things are very vivid to me. Carl Furillo wore No. 6. There was a certain pride factor that I associated with this organization."
Torre shows self-assurance, and happiness with the Dodgers. He wants to win, and Torre didn't hide it. "Winning is very important, yes," Torre said.
The team needs to believe, because one person can't get it done. It's a team drudgery, and everyone will give a 100 percent.
"We go in, we're all wearing the same uniform," Torre said. "That's how I feel. I have a sense we're all going to pull in the same direction. My job as a manager, it's all about communication. It's listening to players, try to understand, make sense. That's my job, to make sure we have a direction to go in.
Understanding the players is distinguished, because it didn't work with the Yankees. Torre's age cost him his job, and hopefully it doesn't happen with the Dodgers. He seems excited, and hopefully it'll continue.
Verified relationships with the players is consequential. His acquaintance with some aren't great, but it'll build in the forthcoming.
"He seemed excited," Torre said. "I don't know Jeff Kent. I felt pretty upbeat and positive he was coming back next year. Hopefully that's the case."
The work isn't finished, because changes need to be made. The pitching isn't the problem, because the talent is there. The Dodgers have pitchers that will produce, and be productive. With the strength of the pitching, former Dodgers manager Grady Little still couldn't succeed.
"We were getting along great for five months. I was there, it wasn't that bad," Brad Penny said. "It wasn't Grady's fault. For whatever reason, we weren't good enough to make it."
Grady deserves some blame, but some players weren't producing. Those players shouldn't be around, because the Dodgers need to win. Grady failed, and the Dodgers felt they needed another manager.
"I think it's great for the team and the city," Penny said. "There's a buzz in the city. He knows a lot about the game. When he talks, you're going to listen. Going into the spring, everyone's going to be excited. He probably has a pretty good idea of what we need, who to put where. We're going to need some help."
Torre will provide help, and he'll have ideas. His knowledge is great, and hopefully the players will execute.
The players seem excited, and their ready to perform. It'll take some time for Torre, because he doesn't have much familiarity with these players. His relationships will grow, because Torre can bring success.
"What impresses me most about this gentleman is he has done it both on and off the field," Dodgers owner Frank McCourt said. "He leads and he wins."
Many players idolize Torre, because he's a leader. He'll have a impact on many players, and it'll last.
