It seems that the magic that Spergon Wynn wielded in the first match-up of the season has worn off. In the pass happy attack of the Toronto Argonauts, going 13 of 25 for a mere 94 yards just doesn't cut it. No touchdowns, but no picks either.

It seems that the Ricky Williams lost his ititial luster as well. Williams could only muster a paltry 14 yards on eight attempts, one of those attempts going for 11 yards.

It could have something to do with the lackluster performance of the offensive line. The line allowed six sacks.

The only thing positive for the whole night's game, for Toronto, was the perfomance of kicker Noel Prefontaine. Prefontaine made field goals from 24, 52, and 47 yards, accounting for his team's only offense.

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers, on the other hand, had a much better performance than they had last week against the Montreal Alouettes.

Running back, Charles Roberts of Winnipeg, told reporters before the game that he wanted to out rush Williams. He did what he said going for 133 yards on 32 attempts, with one touchdown. His longest run going for 18 yards. Last year, Roberts, of Sacramento State, led the CFL in rushing and is looking to win the title again this year.

Final score of the penalty plagued game was 16 - 9.

Ricky's charge to the MVP in the CFL hits a speed bump.

Ricky is going to have a tough time in obtaining the MVP. To play for the Argos, will be a benefit for Ricky's overall game. But, I don't think that he will be anything more than a decent RB in the league.

Ricky Williams needs to disapear some where. I loved the guy back in the day when he was a Saint and then a Dolphin. Now Im just tired of seeing him on my TV. There is no reason that CFL football should be a regular spot on ESPN.

I disagree. I think that the CFL should have more coverage on ESPN. The problem is that with Ricky Williams in Toronto, that is the only game covered. ESPN should cover the other games as well.
