This game was really about the chase of Warren Moon in all-time passing by Damon Allen. Allen (70,595) surpassed Moon (70,533) in the third quarter. The game was stopped as CFL commisioner, Tom Wright presented a special ball to Allen in acknowledgement. Joining Allen on the field was his quarterback coach from Cal State Fullerton, Steve Mariucci. At the time, the game was still in doubt with Toronto leading 12 - 6. However, the Argos defense came up big in the fourth, scoring or setting up the offense for 28 unanswered points.

Hamilton's Corey Holmes torched the Argo defense with 112 yards rushing and 53 yards receiving. But, that was between the 35's. Inside of that, the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, could only score two field goals.

Final stat leaders Toronto. Damon Allen was 16 of 24 for 207 yards and 2 touchdowns with 0 picks. Jeff Johnson led the rushing and the receiving attack. In rushing, he had 11 rushes for 50 yards and 0 touchdowns; in receiving, he had 5 receptions for 58 yards and 1 touchdown. Noel Prefontaine went 1/1 on field goals and 5/5 on extra points.

Final stat leaders Hamilton. Jason Maas was 14 of 26 for 189 yards with 0 touchdowns and 4 interceptions. Corey Holmes had 16 rushes for 112 yards and 0 touchdowns. Kamau Peterson had 4 receptions for 59 yards and 0 touchdowns. Jamie Boreham was 2/2 on field goals and 0/0 on extra points.
