The first half was all B.C. Lions. With 17 points in the first quarter and six in the second, the Lions headed into the locker room leading 23 - 0.
The first problem of the game, for the Lions, was a poor second half performance, scoring only three points in the third quarter and nothing in the fourth. The second was due to the fact that Dickenson came out of the game with a bruised right knee, to be replaced by back-up Jarious Jackson.
However, the Argos could not capitalize on the opportunity, only scoring 19 points. Ten in the third quarter and nine in the fourth. Although, there was some excitement when Lions RB Warren fumbled on the Argos 15. Toronto drove the ball to the Lions 20, before they in turn fumbled.
The leading players for the Lions were as follows. QB Dave Dickenson went 19 of 24 for 256 yards and two touchdowns and 0 picks. RB Antonio Warren had 12 carries for 73 yards with 0 touchdowns. WR Geroy Simon had 7 catches for 138 yards and two touchdowns. K Rob Pikula went 4/4 on field goals and 2/2 on extra points.
Leading the Argonauts, QB Spergon Wynn went 13 of 21 for 223 yards with 0 touchdowns and two picks. RB Ricky Williams had 18 rushes for 97 yards and one touchdown. WR Arland Bruce III had five receptions for 120 yards and 0 touchdowns. K Noel Prefontaine was 2/2 on field goals and 1/1 on extra points.
