There is no doubt that quarterbacks are the most discussed player when it comes to football. So in order to help you stay in the conversation, here are some QBs that you can expect to remain at the top of football dialogue throughout the 2007 college season.
1. Colt Brennan (Hawaii) – As of right now, many regard Colt as the premiere QB in college football. Colt is a senior at Hawaii from Laguna Beach, CA. Last year he threw for 5549 yards, 58 TDs, and 12 interceptions. He is the proud leader for the Rainbow Warriors (sounds scary) and has a good chance at being the number 1 pick of the 2008 NFL draft.
2. John David Booty (USC) – The Trojan QB is a senior at USC from Shreveport, LA. Last year John threw for 3347 yards, 29 TDs, and 9 interceptions. USC is known for producing good quarterbacks, and this year might just add to the tradition. Many expect USC to be playing for the national championship in New Orleans in January of 08, so you can expect hear a lot about Booty.
3. Brian Brohm (Louisville) – Brian is a senior at Louisville which is also his hometown. Last year he threw for 3049 yards, 16 TDs, and 5 interceptions. His decision to stay in college another year rather than moving on to the NFL was a big story during this college football offseason. We will soon see if he made the right decision. Although Brian Brohm has a long history of injuries and is known for being a bit fragile, he has been said to be the most accurate passer in college football right now.
4. Pat White (West Virginia) – Pat is a junior at West Virginia from Daphne, AL. Last year he threw for 1655 yards, 13 TDs, and 7 interceptions and rushed for 1219 yards and 18 TDs. Pat is a natural winner with game-breaking speed, and may be considered the QB most feared by college defenses. He’s an athletic quarterback who is always fun to watch and talk about.
5. Chad Henne (Michigan) – Chad is a senior at Michigan from West Lawn, PA. This will be his 4 th year as starting QB. Last year he threw for 2508 yards, 22 TDs, and 8 interceptions and rushed for over 600 yards and 5 scores. He’s a big guy, 6’2 and 224 pounds with a very strong arm. Although he has never beat rival Ohio State nor won a bowl game, he will keep people worrying about playing Michigan again for another year.
