Tootoo Suspension Reax

The NHL gave Jordin Tootoo a five game suspension for his suckerpunch of Stephane Robidas. This is less than the at least 35 games I was looking for from the lords of discipline in New York.....
Here's why only five games:
-Scott Nichol of the Nashville Predators got a nine game suspension for a similar suckerpunch in December. Thus, Tootoo getting more then nine games was unlikely.
The incident, involving a blind-side suckerpunch to the head of Buffalo's Jaroslav Spacek was a gruesome thing. For more, click on this NHL Press Release: http://www.nhl.com/nhl/app?articleid=285823&page=NewsPage&service=page
-The NHL ruled that Stephane Robidas initiated the action, as he reacted to Mike Modano being checked into the boards by Tootoo. If Tootoo would have been ruled to start the actions that caused the Robidas concussion, then he would have received a longer suspension.
Plus, I will admit that if Robidas and Tootoo actually dropped their gloves and fought, Robidas would have received an instigator penalty, given to players who start fights when covering for teammates. Yet, I which Tootoo would have dropped the gloves instead of struck the head of Robidas with a padded glove. At least this way, Tootoo would have acted like a real man, instead of a punk and a coward.
-With only five games, Tootoo will return to the Predators lineup on March 31st vs. the Dallas Stars. Thus, a massive game with playoffs and revenge implications will take place on the last day of the 3rd month in Nashville. If the matchup wasn't big enough as both teams needed points for playoff positioning, the nastiness factor just went up big time and the game is still 11 days away.
Think about it, Krys Barch of the Stars should have this game circled as he will probably be in at least two fights that night in order to right the wrongs of the Predators and to send a message for the playoffs just in case these teams meet up in the second round or Western Conference Finals.
Plus, I wouldn't be shocked if Robidas needs more time to heal and get his brain in order to play then the suspension time given to Tootoo, which would be wrong. Someday, suspension will be indefinite and cover the time needed for the player to recover from any injuries suffered due to a act that results in a suspension.
Also, I am shocked at the attitude of the Nashville Predators in general.
First off, Predators GM David Poile had the NHL investigate Mike Modano's role in the incident, as he did swing his stick and strike Tootoo in the back will the chaos ensued.
The NHL ruled that Mike Modano's stick was not worthy of a suspension and was not considered dirty. Yet, that stick swing caused the fans to boo Modano, even after he scored his 503th goal later that night.
For an American Superstar to be booed when a huge accomplishment occurred, it shows not only the classlessness of the fans, but the fans ignorance of the game and their ignorance of the milestone.
Second, GM Poile Stated that the Stars never contacted the Predators about Modano's upcoming milestone.
-Here's a suggestion, ask watch an NHL Highlight show, ESPN or FSN, or check out the NHL's website before leaving to work for a game date to stay connected with the league. If you don't know what's going on with the NHL, then how can you promote the game in general.....
Third: Nashville must be considered a dirty team as this is their 2nd suspension of five game or more this season..
Fourth: Nashville Head Coach praised Tootoo for his "calm actions" against Robidas and that Robidas was "patently ridiculous" on Saturday Night....
-If "Calm Actions" are described as suckerpunching people, then we as a culture and a people have lost all abilities to reason or describe actions because it is unlikely that anyone would be knocked out with a concussion if "calm actions" occurred
Finally, I hope the Predators are eliminated in the 1st round of the playoffs. It would be proper justice for a classless organization that continues to operate in their own interests and not the league in general. Remember, they voted "No" to the schedule re-organization during the All-Star Break....

The Predators are quickly developing themselves as a dirty hockey team.
What Jordin did was dumb and stupid. He deserved that suspension.
As for Mike Modano, he is a prick. He whined in his time with the North Stars. He was a prima donna. Then he ripped Minnesota fans for being minor-leaguers and how Minnesota should have never gotten a hockey team. I wasn't sad to see him have financial problems few years ago. It couldn't happen to a nicer person.
