Born on April 29, 1974 in Baltimore, Maryland, Tony Saunders (Anthony Scott Saunders) played for the Florida Marlins and Tampa Bay Devil Rays over the course of his 3 year career. Saunders broke into the bigs on April 5, 1997 with the Florida Marlins, and put up a 4.61 ERA in 111.1 innings pitched in 1997, his rookie year.
