Tony Newsom (Anthony Edwin Newsom) was born on July 20, 1965 in Jacksonville, Florida. After going to high school at John Tyler (Tyler, TX), Newsom attended Stephen F. Austin State University. Newsom made his professional debut in the NFL in 1987 with the Houston Oilers. He played for the Houston Oilers for his entire 1 year career.
