Tony Matisi (Anthony Francis Matisi) was born on August 23, 1914 in New York, New York. After going to high school at Union-Endicott (NY), Matisi attended the University of Pittsburgh. Matisi made his professional debut in the NFL in 1938 with the Detroit Lions. He played for the Detroit Lions for his entire 1 year career.
