Tony Manfreda (Anthony Richard Manfreda) was born on February 19, 1904 in Meriden, Connecticut. After going to high school at Sanborn Seminary (Kingston, NH), Manfreda attended Holy Cross College. Manfreda made his professional debut in the NFL in 1930 with the Newark Tornadoes. He played for the Newark Tornadoes for his entire 1 year career.
