Tony LaRussa is an idiot

Albert Pujols should be pissed off. He has every right to be mad. The bottom line is that his own manager not only screwed him out of playing but screwed the world from seeing the best possible matchup. LaRussa is an idiot. LaRussa claims he needed Pujols on the bench for versatility.

What? Buddy, you were losing by one run with 2 outs and the bases loaded and YOUR OWN GUY was waiting to hit. Instead he leaves in Aaron Rowand who is a good hitter and all but he isn't Albert Pujols. As for versatility, that's why pinchitting Pujols would have worked. You have Soriano who can play center for Rowand and your boy Pujols could play LEFT. That was easy.

Instead, you give up, Tony. Nice one. Your team wins inspite of you. Yes yes, being an A's fan I remember your decision making ability. Now the whole world got to see it! This was a repost from my blog The Idiot Chronicles.

Thanks to LaRussa AL has homefield advantage in World Series again. He may be one of the winningest managers in baseball history but last night he managed like Ted Turner did when he managed that one game for Braves. Bozo the clown could have managed better than LaRussa last night.

LaRussa's a dink. He does whatever he wants and whatever he thinks will make him look good. I'd be pissed if I was Pujols. Maybe if it was a guy like Freddy Sanchez, it would be okay, but Pujols is arguably the best pure hitter since Ted Williams.

If I could vote for this 10 times, I would. I understand the fact that he wants someone on his bench, in case somebody gets hurt or something...but why would you have that guy be the best hitter in the game? La Russa should do anything he can to get Pujols as many at-bats as possible, not to get him the least at-bats possible...
