Born on May 5, 1908 in Mill Valley, California, Tony Freitas (Antonio Freitas) played for the Philadelphia Athletics and Cincinnati Reds over the course of his 5 year career. Freitas broke into the bigs on May 31, 1932 with the Philadelphia Athletics, and put up a 3.83 ERA in 150.1 innings pitched in 1932, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Tony Freitas's best season was 1932, when he posted a 3.83 ERA and won 12 games.
