Born on April 29, 1978 in Puerto Piritu, Anzoategui (Venezuela), Tony Armas (Antonio Jose Armas) played for the Montreal Expos and Washington Nationals over the course of his 8 year career. Armas broke into the bigs on August 16, 1999 with the Montreal Expos, and put up a 4.36 ERA in 95 innings pitched in 2000, his rookie year.
Most people believe that Tony Armas's best season was 2001, when he posted a 4.03 ERA and struck out 176 batters.
