Born on September 18, 1911 in Marianao, Cuba, Tommy de la Cruz (Tomas (Rivero) de la Cruz) played for the Cincinnati Reds for his entire 1 year career. de la Cruz broke into the bigs on April 20, 1944 with the Cincinnati Reds, and put up a 3.25 ERA in 191.1 innings pitched in 1944, his rookie year.
