Tommy O'Brien (Thomas Edward O'Brien) was born on December 19, 1918 in Anniston, Alabama. He made his Major League debut on April 24, 1943 for the Pittsburgh Pirates. In 1943, his rookie year, he hit .310 with 2 home runs and 26 RBI. O'Brien played for the Pittsburgh Pirates, Boston Red Sox and Washington Senators over the course of his 5 year career.
Most people believe that Tommy O'Brien's best season was 1943, when he hit for a .310 average.
