Tommy Janik (Thomas Alvin Janik) was born on September 6, 1940 in Poth, Texas. After going to high school at Poth (TX), Janik attended Texas Agricultural and Mechanical University and Texas Agricultural and Mechanical University-Kingsville. Janik made his professional debut in the AFL in 1963 with the Denver Broncos. He played in the AFL for 7 years, playing for the Buffalo Bills, Denver Broncos and Boston Patriots over the course of his 7 year AFL career.Janik also played in the NFL for 2 years, playing for the New England Patriots and Boston Patriots over the course of his 2 year NFL career.
