Tommy Griffith (Thomas Herman Griffith) was born on October 26, 1889 in Prospect, Ohio. He made his Major League debut on August 25, 1913 for the Boston Braves. In 1915, his rookie year, he hit .307 with 4 home runs and 85 RBI. Griffith played for the Boston Braves, Cincinnati Reds, Brooklyn Robins and Chicago Cubs over the course of his 13 year career.

Most people believe that Tommy Griffith's best season was 1915, when he hit for a .307 average and knocked in 85 runs.
