Tommy Duniven was born on May 20, 1954 in Pampa, Texas. After going to high school at McLean (TX), Duniven attended Texas Tech University. As Texas Tech's quarterback, he led the Red Raiders to . Origninally drafted by the Cincinatti Bengals, Duniven made his professional debut in the NFL in 1977 with the Houston Oilers. He played for the Houston Oilers for his entire 1 year career.
