Tommy Dowler (Thomas Moran Dowler) was born on July 3, 1908 in Erie, Pennsylvania. After going to high school at East (Erie, PA), Dowler attended Colgate University. Dowler made his professional debut in the NFL in 1931 with the Brooklyn Dodgers. He played for the Brooklyn Dodgers for his entire 1 year career.
