Tommy Boggs

Born on October 25, 1955 in Poughkeepsie, New York, Tommy Boggs (Thomas Winton Boggs) played for the Texas Rangers and Atlanta Braves over the course of his 9 year career. Boggs broke into the bigs on July 19, 1976 with the Texas Rangers, and put up a 3.49 ERA in 90.1 innings pitched in 1976, his rookie year.
Most people believe that Tommy Boggs's best season was 1980, when he posted a 3.42 ERA, won 12 games and struck out 84 batters.
