HIGH SCHOOL: A 2006 graduate of Wayzata High School (Minn.) • high school coach was Brad Anderson • named all-state by the Associated Press and Pioneer Press in 2005 • selected to the 2005 Sports Illustrated Preseason All-America Team • two-time All-Classic Lake selection and 2005 Star Tribune and KARE-11 All-Metro choice • ranked as the 47th-best inside linebacker in the nation by Rivals • tabbed as the No.1 linebacker in the state by Minnesota Preps • helped lead team to a 13-1 record and state championship his senior season • team captain his senior year • tallied 99 tackles with 20 tackles-for-loss, five sacks, a pass breakup, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery in 2005 • registered 235 tackles and 29 tackles-for-loss during his career.
