Tommy Atkins

Born on December 9, 1887 in Ponca, Nebraska, Tommy Atkins (Francis Montgomery Atkins) played for the Philadelphia Athletics for his entire 2 year career. Atkins broke into the bigs on October 2, 1909 with the Philadelphia Athletics, and put up a 2.68 ERA in 57 innings pitched in 1910, his rookie year.
