Tommie Smith (Tommie Smith) was born on June 6, 1944 in Clarksville, Tennessee. After going to high school at Lemoore (CA), Smith attended San Jose State University. Smith made his professional debut in the AFL in 1969 with the Cincinnati Bengals. He played for the Cincinnati Bengals for his entire 1 year career.
