Tom Tumulty (Thomas Patrick Tumulty) was born on February 11, 1973 in Penn Hills, Pennsylvania. After going to high school at Penn Hills (PA), Tumulty attended the University of Pittsburgh. Tumulty made his professional debut in the NFL in 1996 with the Cincinnati Bengals. He played for the Cincinnati Bengals for his entire 3 year career.

Most people believe that 1997 was Tom Tumulty's best year.
