Tom Sims (Thomas Sidney Sims) was born on April 18, 1967 in Detroit, Michigan. After going to high school at Cass Technical (Detroit, MI), Sims attended the University of Pittsburgh and Western Michigan University. Sims made his professional debut in the NFL in 1991 with the Kansas City Chiefs. He played for the Indianapolis Colts and Kansas City Chiefs over the course of his 4 year career.

Most people believe that 1992 was Tom Sims's best year.
