Born on March 31, 1894 in Grand Ridge, Illinois, Tom Sheehan (Thomas Clancy Sheehan) played for the Philadelphia Athletics, New York Yankees, Cincinnati Reds and Pittsburgh Pirates over the course of his 6 year career. Sheehan broke into the bigs on July 14, 1915 with the Philadelphia Athletics, and put up a 4.15 ERA in 102 innings pitched in 1915, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Tom Sheehan's best season was 1924, when he posted a 3.24 ERA and struck out 52 batters.
