Tom Richardson (Thomas Edward Richardson) was born on October 15, 1944 in Greenville, Mississippi. After going to high school at Coleman (Greenville, MS), Richardson attended Jackson State University. Richardson made his professional debut in the AFL in 1969 with the Boston Patriots. He played in the AFL for 1 year, playing for the Boston Patriots the entire time. Richardson also played in the NFL for 1 year, playing for the Boston Patriots the entire time.

Most people believe that 1969 was Tom Richardson's best year.
