Tom Poquette (Thomas Arthur Poquette) was born on October 30, 1951 in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. He made his Major League debut on September 1, 1973 for the Kansas City Royals. In 1976, his rookie year, he hit .302 with 2 home runs and 34 RBI. Poquette played for the Kansas City Royals, Boston Red Sox and Texas Rangers over the course of his 7 year career.

There is some disagreement on what was Tom Poquette's most productive season. Some believe that it was 1977, when he hit for a .292 average. However, others believe that it was 1976, when he hit for a .302 average.
