Tom Poholsky

Born on August 26, 1929 in Detroit, Michigan, Tom Poholsky (Thomas George Poholsky) played for the St. Louis Cardinals and Chicago Cubs over the course of his 6 year career. Poholsky broke into the bigs on April 20, 1950 with the St. Louis Cardinals, and put up a 4.43 ERA in 195 innings pitched in 1951, his rookie year.
Most people believe that Tom Poholsky's best season was 1956, when he posted a 3.59 ERA and struck out 95 batters.
