Tom Phoebus

Born on April 7, 1942 in Baltimore, Maryland, Tom Phoebus (Thomas Harold Phoebus) played for the Baltimore Orioles, San Diego Padres and Chicago Cubs over the course of his 7 year career. Phoebus broke into the bigs on September 15, 1966 with the Baltimore Orioles, and put up a 3.33 ERA in 208 innings pitched in 1967, his rookie year.
Most people believe that Tom Phoebus's best season was 1968, when he posted a 2.62 ERA, won 15 games and struck out 193 batters.
