Born on April 10, 1868 in Portland, Oregon, Tom Parrott (Thomas William Parrott) played for the Cincinnati Reds, Chicago Colts and St. Louis Perfectos over the course of his 4 year career. Parrott broke into the bigs on June 18, 1893 with the Cincinnati Reds, and put up a 4.48 ERA in 181 innings pitched in 1893, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Tom Parrott's best season was 1894, when he won 17 games and struck out 61 batters.
