Tom Padden

Tom Padden (Thomas Francis Padden) was born on October 6, 1908 in Manchester, New Hampshire. He made his Major League debut on May 29, 1932 for the Pittsburgh Pirates. In 1934, his rookie year, he hit .321 with 0 home runs and 22 RBI. Padden played for the Pittsburgh Pirates, Washington Senators and Philadelphia Phillies over the course of his 7 year career.

- Traded by Pittsburgh Pirates with Bernard Cobb, cash and a player to be named later to St. Louis Cardinals in exchange for Johnny Rizzo (October 13, 1937); St. Louis Cardinals received Bud Hafey (December 15, 1937).
- Sold by New York Giants to New York Yankees with Alex Kampouris (December 27, 1939).
- Sent by New York Yankees to Philadelphia Phillies with Al Gerheauser (March 26, 1943) to complete trade in which New York Yankees traded Ed Levy, Al Gettel and $10000 to Philadelphia Phillies in exchange for Nick Etten (January 22, 1943)when Ed Levy was returned to New York Yankees.
