Tom Newton

Tom Newton (Thomas Richard Newton) was born on March 8, 1954 in Carmel, California. After going to high school at Overfelt (San Jose, CA), Newton attended San Jose City College and Univeristy of California. Newton made his professional debut in the NFL in 1977 with the New York Jets. He played for the New York Jets for his entire 6 year career.
Most people believe that 1979 was Tom Newton's best year, as he ran in 6 TDs.
