Tom Newberry (Tom G. Newberry) was born on December 20, 1962 in Onalaska, Wisconsin. After going to high school at Onalaska (WI), Newberry attended the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse. Newberry made his professional debut in the NFL in 1986 with the Los Angeles Rams. He played for the Los Angeles Rams and Pittsburgh Steelers over the course of his 10 year career.

Most people believe that 1986 was Tom Newberry's best year, as he ran back a fumble for a touchdown.
