Tom Loftus (Thomas Joseph Loftus) was born on November 15, 1856 in St. Louis, Missouri. He made his Major League debut on August 17, 1877 for the St. Louis Brown Stockings. Loftus played for the St. Louis Brown Stockings and St. Louis Browns over the course of his 2 year career.
