Born on April 2, 1951 in St. Paul, Minnesota, Tom Johnson (Thomas Raymond Johnson) played for the Minnesota Twins for his entire 5 year career. Johnson broke into the bigs on September 10, 1974 with the Minnesota Twins, and put up a 3.13 ERA in 146.2 innings pitched in 1977, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Tom Johnson's best season was 1977, when he posted a 3.13 ERA, won 16 games, notched 15 saves and struck out 87 batters.
