Tom Hennessey (Thomas Edward Hennessey) was born on February 15, 1942 in Boston, Massachusetts. After going to high school at Brookline (MA), Hennessey attended Holy Cross College. Hennessey made his professional debut in the AFL in 1965 with the Boston Patriots. He played for the Boston Patriots for his entire 2 year career.

Most people believe that 1966 was Tom Hennessey's best year, as he picked off 6 passes.
