Tom Hafey (Thomas Francis Hafey) was born on July 12, 1913 in Berkeley, California. He made his Major League debut on July 21, 1939 for the New York Giants. In 1939, his rookie year, he hit .242 with 6 home runs and 26 RBI. Hafey played for the New York Giants and St. Louis Browns over the course of his 2 year career.
