Tom Gormley (Thomas Francis Gormley) was born on August 9, 1891 in Bridgeport, Connecticut. After going to high school at Naugatuck (CT), Gormley attended Catholic College, Georgetown University, Ursinus College and Villanova University. Gormley made his professional debut in the APFA in 1920 with the Cleveland Tigers. He played for the Washington Senators and Cleveland Tigers over the course of his 2 year career.
