Tom Gipson (Thomas Allen Gipson) was born on July 28, 1948 in Refugio, Texas. After going to high school at Fulton (Rockport, TX), Gipson attended the University of North Texas. Gipson made his professional debut in the NFL in 1971 with the Oakland Raiders. He played for the Oakland Raiders for his entire 1 year career.
