Tom Gatewood (Thomas Gatewood, Jr.) was born on March 3, 1950 in Baltimore, Maryland. After going to high school at City College (Baltimore, MD), Gatewood attended the University of Notre Dame. Gatewood made his professional debut in the NFL in 1972 with the New York Giants. He played for the New York Giants for his entire 2 year career.
