Born on January 6, 1915 in New York, New York, Tom Ferrick (Thomas Jerome Ferrick) played for the Philadelphia Athletics, Cleveland Indians, St. Louis Browns, Washington Senators and New York Yankees over the course of his 9 year career. Ferrick broke into the bigs on April 19, 1941 with the Philadelphia Athletics, and put up a 3.77 ERA in 119.1 innings pitched in 1941, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Tom Ferrick's best season was 1950, when he posted a 3.79 ERA and notched 11 saves.
