Tom Dean (Thomas Edward Dean) was born on May 27, 1923 in Fostoria, Texas. After going to high school at Conroe (TX), Dean attended Arkansas State University and Southern Methodist University. Dean made his professional debut in the NFL in 1946 with the Boston Yanks. He played for the Boston Yanks for his entire 2 year career.
