Tom Chantiles (Thomas J. Chantiles) was born on July 2, 1916 in York, Pennsylvania. After going to high school at William Penn (York, PA), Chantiles attended the University of Southern California. Chantiles made his professional debut in the NFL in 1942 with the Detroit Lions. He played for the Detroit Lions for his entire 1 year career.
