Born on May 6, 1962 in Nashville, Tennessee, Tom Bolton (Thomas Edward Bolton) played for the Boston Red Sox, Cincinnati Reds, Detroit Tigers and Baltimore Orioles over the course of his 8 year career. Bolton broke into the bigs on May 17, 1987 with the Boston Red Sox, and put up a 4.38 ERA in 61.2 innings pitched in 1987, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Tom Bolton's best season was 1990, when he posted a 3.38 ERA, won 10 games and struck out 65 batters.
